Coach Vinny Ciliberti Jr.
Varsity Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator

Picture
Coach Ciliberti is entering his first year at Mountain Ridge.  He has coached for a total of 15 years and held various positions on all levels.  He played football at 2 different high schools, Sachem North in NY and then finished up playing OL/DL at Cactus Shadows in AZ, receiving all region honors his senior year.

After moving on to ASU while pursuing a Bachelor's degree he was asked to join the Cactus Shadows coaching staff and was the JV Defensive Coordinator for 1 year.  The following year after a coaching change at CSHS he began coaching at Pinnacle High School as the JV offensive line/defensive line coach.

Between 2003 and 2009 coach Ciliberti held various positions such as Freshman Head Coach and JV Head Coach until 2010 when he accepted the Varsity Offensive Coordinator position.  During his time at Pinnacle the offense was fast paced and high scoring.  They were respected as one of the top offenses in the state, consistently ranking in the top 5 for offensive production, averaging over 30 points a game while playing in the highest division in Arizona and against some of the toughest opponents the state had to offer.

Coach Ciliberti had the pleasure of coaching many athletes who moved on to the next level, including Brian Lewerke QB Michigan State and his cousin Daniel Galindo WR NAU.

Coach Ciliberti brings his high tempo attacking offense to Mountain Ridge in hopes of restoring the program to some of the success of the past.  He is happy to be a part of the MR family and looks forward to this opportunity.  Coach Ciliberti has been a Math Teacher since 2009 and most recently was the Math Department Chair at Pinnacle High School.  He has taught Algebra 1/2, Algebra 3/4, Geometry, Pre-Calculus.  He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Educational Technology as well.
